Today we are testing for certification, but some of us are still studying and will take it on Tuesday

5/23/2016

We are all currently done with robot building. We are now studying for the auto as certification and for some of us still the solid works.

5/20/16

Today marks the final day to do anything, we attempted to build a robot to do the tug-o-war challenge but with the complexity of figuring out the gear system and the limited time we had, we ultimately decided not to do it.

5/16/2016

We are currently fixing up our blogs because they are due today. Besides that we are also disassembling our robot for the tug a war challenge.

5/9/2016

With the extension of our new claw modification we have added counter weights onto the robot before we attempt the racket ball challenge with tank controls.

5/6/16

Unfortunately we can't work on our robot today due to the fact the classroom in occupied for testing. We are currently in the process of balance our robot so it doesn't fall over.

Monday, May 2, 2016

5/2/16

We began coding the robot for the new challenge of picking up the ball and putting it in a tube, but first we need to deal with the balancing problem because it keeps falling over.

4/29/201

Were half way finished with the new claw to do the racket ball challenge. Its just missing a motor and a gear.

4/25/2016

Finishing the tetrahedron challenge in rather late time, we are now continuing to catch up with the other teams by rebuilding our claw for the next challenge. Given a ball we must make our robot optimized for a new challenge goal of instead of a hook but lifting or holding the ball to the goal instead of a tetrahedron.

4/22/2016

We continue to work on the tetrahedron challenge on the autonomous setting. Our main problem currently is coding the claw of our robot repeatedly until success is made.

4/18/16

We are still trying to do the autonomous tetrahedron challenge. Due to the fact we have do not meet the 18 inch requirement we must start our claw all the way back.

Friday, April 15, 2016

4/15/16

We finally finished the tetrahedron challenge, but like always we have to turn our robot so it can do the challenge autonomously, and do modify our solid works model to fit our real version .

4/11/2016

Today we are fixing our coding and optimizing it for our vex clawbot, fixing the inverted or "reversed" controls. Supports have also been added to our claw. And creating a tetrahedron out of straws, pencils, and other utilities. We need at least three tetrahedrons. And for this week we shall be attempting the next few challenges right after the tetrahedron challenge is completed.

4/8/2016

For this week we have been adding a modified claw to our robot to perform the "tetrahedron" challenge. This challenge is accomplished by building a robot with a functioning claw and successfully attach three tetrahedrons to the stand.

Monday, April 4, 2016

4/4/16

This week we start a new challenge to modify our robot and make it so it'll be able to pick up three tetrahedrons and place then on a pipe object, we only get one minute to do our graded run.

4/1/2016

Today we finish our coding for our square bot, despite being a day late we could of finished faster if better communication was given and help on the turn cycles. Three loops around a obstacle

3/28/2016

We are currently trying to do autonomous. This is programming the robot to go around 2 chairs 3 times. It is due on Wednesday. The program we are using to program our vex bot is graphical robotics for vex robots.

3/17/2016

Finishing this week's schedule. We have fixed our robot's tank controls from going backwards to now forward, and have completed our solidworks assembly of our vex clawbot chassis.

Wednesday, March 16, 2016

3/16/16

This is our robot. We made it on the program called solid works. The views we have are front, side, top and an isometric view. This is what the robot looks like for the autonomous challenge

Monday, March 14, 2016

3/14/2016

Today we are finishing off the missing pieces on our robots and we are beginning to build our robot on solid works. Our built robot on solid works is due Wednesday. We are currently taking unzipping zip files and converting them to parts.(on solidworks). We also can now control our robot from the vex controller.

03/11/2016

After we have cleaned out the laptop cart, tested the cortex and controller, we are now almost finished building the chassis of our VEX Clawbot, and starting up our SOLIDWORKS model of the chassis.

Continue to organize - 3/7

For this week we all will start to dismantle and organize the robots, and begin construction of the robot with the kits that were given to us last week. we will be sharing a table with another team called
Ze Cul Kidz.

Friday, March 4, 2016

3/4/16 Goals and Objectives

We are still working on our robot carts. We have join with ze cul kidz of sphs on taking apart the laptop carts. We are currently taking out pieces in the cart so we can fit both of our group robots. We are also going threw inventory and organizing.

2/29/2016 Goals and Objectives

Our goal and objective of this week is to clean out the laptop carts, in order to make space to store our future work, robot and data. Without these carts, our entire effort towards organization, and cleanliness will be unfathomable.
